Battleforge competition Terms & Conditions

1. The Promoter

1.1. The Promoter is Games Workshop Limited of Willow Road, Lenton, Nottingham, NG7 2WS, UK, +44 (0)115 914 0000 (“GW”).

1.2. Games Workshop Limited Australian Business Number: 27 207 794 257.

2. Eligibility

2.1. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter the competition.

2.2. The competition is open to residents worldwide, excluding the U.S. state of Rhode Island and the Canadian province of Quebec.

2.3. Entries from trade accounts or employees of any of the Games Workshop group of companies, their families, agents or any other person connected with the administration of the competition will not be considered.

3. The Competition

3.1. No purchase necessary to enter or win.

3.2. Entry is free and open to all those who meet GW’s eligibility requirements and who satisfy the requirements detailed below.

4. How to Enter

4.1. There are two routes of entry into the prize draw. You may only enter via one route.

Entry Route 1:

4.1.1.Download the Warhammer 40,000 app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store;

4.1.2.subscribe to the app to gain access to Battleforge, the army list creator (monthly subscription costs are detailed in table below, subscription renews automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled, full purchase T&Cs available at the following URL: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/MyWarhammer-Terms-and-Conditions);

4.1.3.create your own Battleforge army list, consisting of any Citadel units from GW (Excluding Forge World Models) of your choosing ; and

4.1.4.share your list on either Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #40KBattleForge.

Entry Route 2:
4.1.5.Create your own army list, consisting of any Citadel units from GW of your choosing (Excluding Forge World Models), using any format of your choice; and

4.1.6.email your list to GW at competitions@gwplc.com, with the subject line ‘Battleforge Competition’ and including your full name and location (state/region and country) in the main body of your email.

4.2. One entry only per person. Entrants identified as having submitted multiple entries in contravention of these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified.

4.3. Entries must be received by GW between 00:01 (GMT) on 1st May 2021 and 23:59 (GMT) on 31st May 2021 inclusive (the “Entry Period”) in order to be counted. Entries received outside of the Entry Period will not be considered.

4.4. GW is not responsible for any technical difficulties rendering a person unable to enter the competition.

4.5. If a name is drawn which belongs to a resident of Canada, they must correctly answer a skill-testing question in order to win a prize, in accordance with Canadian law.

5. The Prize Draw

5.1. All entrants will be entered into a prize draw. The prize draw will take place at 23 Liverpool Street, Ingleburn NSW 2565, Australia at 10 a.m. (AEDT) on 2nd June 2021. The draw will be made by random selection. The chance of winning depends upon the number of entrants.

6. Prize Details

6.1. There will be one (1) winner. The winner will receive one (1) prize, consisting of the GW miniatures featured in their army list (as contained in their winning entry), up to the maximum value of USD $1,000 / AUD $1,366 / GBP £758 (or equivalent local currency as determined by GW). Miniatures must be currently available on the Games Workshop (www.games-workshop.com) webstore to be eligible for inclusion within the prize. This value excludes delivery and sales tax, where applicable. The value of the prize pool is up to: USD $1,000 / AUD $1,366 / GBP £758.

6.2. If the combined value of GW miniatures contained in a winner’s army list exceeds the maximum value stated in clause 6.1, GW will select items from that army list at its discretion up to the maximum value.

6.3. If the combined value of GW miniatures contained in a winner’s army list is below the maximum value stated in clause 6.1, the winner will receive those items only.

6.4. Prizes are not transferable or negotiable and no cash alternatives will be offered. Prizes cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.

6.5. If the winner’s army list contains items that are not currently in stock on the Games Workshop web store, they may experience a delay in receiving those items.

7. Notification

7.1. The winner will be contacted within three (3) working days of their name being drawn. 

7.2. Winners who entered via Entry Route 1 will be contacted by direct message on the social media platform they used to submit their entry (Instagram or Twitter).

7.3. Winners who entered via Entry Route 2 will be contacted via the email address they used to submit their entry.

7.4. Winners must claim their prize by responding to GW’s direct message or email and must provide their delivery address. Prizes will be dispatched via GW’s standard shipping processes once claimed. There will be a delay in dispatch time for items that are out of stock. If any prize has not been claimed by the 31st Aug 2021, then a redraw will be held for the remaining prize(s).

8. Redraw Process

8.1. A redraw, if applicable, will take place at 23 Liverpool Street, Ingleburn NSW 2565, Australia at 10 a.m. (AEDT) on 2nd Sept 2021. The redraw will be made by random selection.

8.2. The winner(s) of the redraw will be notified as stipulated under clauses 7.2 and 7.3 on or before the 8th Sept 2021. The winner(s) of the redraw must claim their prize before the 30th Oct 2021. If any remaining prizes have not been claimed by this date, then the opportunity to win these prizes will be lost and the prize draw will be finished.

9. Publication

9.1. Entrants agree that GW can use their name and place of residence (in the format of J Bloggs from England) for advertising and promotional purposes and for the purposes of fulfilling legal obligations. If you do not wish your name and/or place of residence to be published or made available, or you wish to reduce the amount of information published or made available, please inform GW at the time you submit your entry.

9.2. Details of the winners will be published on https://www.warhammer-community.com on or before the 9th June 2021.

9.3. Details of the winners of any redraw under clause 8, if applicable, will be published on https://www.warhammer-community.com on or before the 9th Nov 2021.

10. Ownership of Competition Entries and Intellectual Property Rights

10.1 GW does not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry.

10.2. You agree that GW may, but is not required to, make your entry available on any of its websites and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant GW a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

11. General

11.1. Participation or entry in the competition is considered to be a complete release of Instagram by each entrant or participant. Promotions are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

11.2. GW reserves the right to vary any of these Terms and Conditions without notice. In such event GW will make reasonable efforts to communicate any change with entrants.

11.3. These rules are governed by the laws of England and any dispute relating to the promotion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Entry indicates acceptance of the rules as final and legally binding.

12. Data Protection

12.1. Any personal data provided to us in connection with this competition will be held and processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice. We may also use that data for administration of, and communication in connection with, this competition. By submitting your personal information in connection with this competition you consent to the processing of your personal data as set out above and you confirm that the information is accurate and complete.
