New Horus Heresy Novel: Betrayer
Angron and Lorgar - two of the most brutal Primarchs - in one novel? Yes, that a very definite recipe for death and destruction. Betrayer is the latest Black Library novel in the Horus Heresy series and it's available to advance order now. It kicks off where Know No Fear and Butcher's Nails left off and as you'd expect from Aaron Dembski-Bowden the battle scenes are epic, the combat is gory and the two Primarchs are on top form as they pulverise their way through the defenders of the Ultramar system. While Lorgar is certainly a predominant character in this novel, it's Angron that I think steals the show. I won't give anything away though, you'll just have to read it yourself.
On the subject of Middle-earth, we've also been sent photos of the first painted miniatures for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Strategy Battle Game. These pictures were sent to us by Julien Haesinger, the manager of Games Workshop Saint Lazare in Paris. He hasn't finished all the characters just yet, but the ones he has done look great. If you've finished painting your Thorin's Company, or you've just put the finishing touches on the Goblin King then why not send us a few pictures of them. You never know, you might be the next hobbyist to have your models featured on White Dwarf Daily.
