The death of a world and a great eye of black and gold watching it burn. Astartes fighting to the death beneath a red-lit sky. A golden eagle cast from the heavens... - The Dark King.
Those of you familiar with Black Library Audio Dramas will recognise this prophetic sentence as one of the opening lines from 'The Dark King' - one of the first Horus Heresy Audio Dramas. Well now you can read it first hand because today the Black Library have announced the latest addition to the Horus Heresy range - The Scripts, Volume I.
Included within this collector's edition book are the printed scripts for five Horus Heresy Audio Dramas: Garro: Oath of Moment, Garro: Legion of One, Butcher's Nails, The Lightning Tower and The Dark King and Raven's Flight. This 317-page tome is wrapped up in a full-colour dust jacket illustrated by Neil Roberts and features Corax, the Primarch of the Raven Guard, as he attempts to save his Legion from destruction on Isstvan V. This book will only be available while stocks last, so head over to blacklibrary.com and place your order now, because once they're gone, they're gone.
For those of you that haven't listened to the Horus Heresy Audio Dramas yet, many of them are available to order from the Games Workshop website and all of them can be downloaded as MP3s from the Black Library website. You can check them out below:
It's evident that the guys at Nomad Games played a lot of Talisman in their office because they really captured the feel of the original game, even going so far as to include many of the original spells and in-game events. In December's issue of White Dwarf, Andrew interviewed Carl Jackson, one of the games' designers, who told him more about their inspiration for the game and what you can do in it. But they're not stopping with Talisman Prologue. As the name suggests, Nomad Games are already planning a full multiplayer version of Talisman. Keep your eyes on White Dwarf Daily for more info.
