Stomp stomp stomp

When it comes to vehicles and tanks it's the super-heavy vehicles that really pack the biggest punch. This mighty Ork Stompa was sent in to us by Matt Cleveland who painted it using several of the techniques in Imperial Armour: Model Masterclass Vol.1. The chipped paintwork effect was achieved by stippling a small amount of paint on the model using a small sponge. Matt also took the opportunity to experiment with weathering powders and oil paints to get the dusty and oily effects on the weapons and armour panels. Matt's advice when it comes to unusual techniques like this is "to try out new effects whenever you can and not get disheartened if they don't work first time." Considering that this was the first time Matt had tried out these techniques, we think he did very well with them.
