Raiding the Inbox

From Dan Harden at 16:04 BST

It's been some time since we properly raided the What's New Today inbox and, seeing as we've got all these lovely new Empire models out, we thought we'd take a look in the Empire folder to see what goodies we'd saved up over the last year. André Valiquette has been collecting Warhammer for many years now and when he heard that the Empire we're getting an update he returned to painting his Averland army. As you can see from the pictures above, he's already got a pretty sizeable force, though he's planning to add a few more Core units and some Demigryph Knights. We look forward to seeing the pictures, André.

Richard Applin sent us an email many moons ago, which included several pictures of his Empire Heroes. Like many hobbyists out there, Richard has a huge range of miniatures in his collection, including quite a few from Mordheim. Rather than restrict their use to games of Mordheim, Richard also uses them in his Empire army to lead units, including the Freelancer Knight and a Witch Hunter (incidentally, the Freelancer Knight would have made a pretty good contender in our moustache contest earlier...). Richard has also painted up Valten for his army. While Valten is not a named character in the Empire book, the miniature makes a fantastic Empire General, Elector Count or Grand Marshall.

And then, right at the bottom of our Empire folder we found these beauties. Mike Morgan sent us these two characters - a Captain and a Warrior Priest. Curiously, he also uses the Captain in games of Mordheim (I sense a theme going on here...) as well as Warhammer.

Remember, we're always after great painted miniatures to showcase on the blog, so if you think your models have got what it takes to be shown on our site then make sure you send us an email. Simply click on the red button on the right of this page. As you've probably guessed, we're particularly interested in Empire models at the moment, but feel free to send us pictures of anything you're working on (that's model related, of course. We don't want to see pictures of your latest DIY experiment).
