German Golden Demon and The Lord of the Rings winners

From Mark Newton at 13:02 GMT

Those of you with curious minds will have long-since clicked on the Golden Demon gallery link down on the sidebar. For those of you who have not been there recently, we've added the gallery from this year's Games Day Germany.

Seen as we're celebrating The Lord of the Rings this week, here are the winners from that category. Borja García de Diego won the Gold for his splendid Ruffian, which is a model we don't often see (I don't think we've ever had one in our inbox). And, as you would expect of a Golden Demon winner, the level of detail is breathtaking - you can almost read that poster on the wall behind the Ruffian (if you dare go near him...). Christian Reckerth's Saruman won the Silver award - Dan was drooling at the quality, smoothness and variety of colours Christian managed to use on what is essentially a white model. Finally, the Bronze award went to Harald Moosmann, for his superbly painted miniature of Tom Bombadil, who's clearly off on another woodland adventure. Congratulations to all the winners!

Don't forget, there's also a load of other models for all the other Golden Demon categories, so make sure you check out the gallery over here.
