Łukasz Frączek’s Dark Angels.
We like to get a good mix of hobby on the blog and we thought, seeing as we haven't shown any Dark Angels in a while (or even many Space Marines, come to think of it), that we would get a few of them into the first post of the day. These fantastic models were sent in to us by Łukasz Frączek, who's a huge fan of the Dark Angels Chapter.
The Dark Angels Tactical Marines were painted with the mix of Dark Angels Green/Snot Green. Scorpion Green was used as a first highlight, followed by a wash of Thraka Green and Badab Black to shade the colour of the armour. Łukasz then applied a final highlight of Scorpion Green mixed with Skull White to the very edges of the armour panels.
The Deathwing armour was painted using a mix of Khemri Brown, Bleached Bone and Skull White. Łukasz then applied several thin glazes of Dheneb Stone to the armour, which he mixed with the 'Eavy Metal Glaze Medium to get an even coverage. He then added a small amount of Skull White to this mix for the highlights.
The Ravenwing were painted with a pure Chaos Black (not a huge surprise, that), followed by a wash of Badab Black. Astronomican Grey was then used as an edge highlight on the armour.
Remember, it's great pictures like these, sent in by hobbyists from around the world, which allow us to show awesome miniatures on the blog every day. So if you'd like to see more Wood Elves, a couple of Tau Battlesuits, a Necromunda Gang or even a fully painted battlefield on the blog, then it's down to you guys to send it to us. All you need to do is use the big red button over on the right to send us an email, or you can always upload your pictures to our Flickr pool.
