Skaven Screaming Bell & Battalion; New Crimson Fists Bitz; Imperial Sector.
From tomorrow, the Skaven Screaming Bell/Plague Furnace and the new Skaven Battalion box set will be available in stores. If you can't get into your local Hobby Centre this weekend, you can now order them here on games-workshop.com and we'll ship them to you from Monday. Don't forget that if you're going to build the Screaming Bell (as opposed to the Plague Furnace), then you should have a Grey Seer on foot, so if his mount gets destroyed, he can carry on fighting.
We also have some surprise new releases out today: a whole host of Crimson Fists Bitz that enable you to build Space Marines as members of this iconic Chapter. Crimson Fists were also on the cover of Rogue Trader - the first edition of Warhammer 40,000 - so they occupy a special place in our hearts. The Crimson Fists are a successor Chapter to the Imperial Fists and were formed in the cataclysmic upheaval at the end of the Horus Heresy. Adam Troke has just compiled an excellent summary of The Founding of the Crimson Fists, which takes you from those turbulent days, through to the terrible events on Rynn's World.
Today we're releasing the Crimson Fists Tactical Pack (helmets, shoulder pads and backpacks to convert five Space Marines into Crimson Fists); The Crimson Fists Assault Pack (same as above but with the addition of a power fist); the Crimson Fists Command Pack (one laurelled helmet, scrolled shoulder pad, back banner, power sword and four more Crimson Fists shoulder pads); the Crimson Fist Shoulder Pads Pack (ten shoulder pads) and the Crimson Fists Tank Pack (three large and five smaller Fist Chapter symbols) to convert your vehicles, although the Space Marine Drop Pod already comes with Fist icons in the box
The Crimson Fists Chapter Master Pedro Kantor and the Imperial Fists Chaplain are already available. Oh, and Space Marine Sternguard Veteran Squads led by Pedro Kantor count as scoring units.
All the Crimson Fists Packs can also be used as Imperial Fists, and vice versa, so you might also like the Imperial Fists Terminator Conversion Pack (four storm bolter arms, one heavy flamer arm and a banner pole) to convert Terminators into Crimson Fists. The Imperial Fists Captain Lysander also makes an awe-inspiring Crimson Fist Commander. Don't forget that Forge World also have some fabulously detailed Crimson Fists accessories, including Land Raider and Rhino Doors, Terminator Shoulder Pads and even more Crimson Fists icons.
And if all that Warhammer 40,000 goodness wasn't enough, I'm delighted to say that the Imperial Sector is now back in stock - in strictly limited quantities - for Christmas.
