Un-boxing Space Hulk
Space Hulk was launched yesterday. But judging by the thousands of orders we took and the number of visits our website received, you already knew that. This morning we got our copy and as we couldn't wait any longer we thought we would share the un-boxing with you:
-
The first thing that strikes you is just how much stuff there is; the folks that packed all 4kg of Space Hulk into its box were obviously masters of their craft, as there's barely an inch of room.
-
It's hard to decide which bit to turn to first: clip out the miniatures, flick through the books, pore over the room sections, pop out all of the counters, or turn the sand timer over and time it emptying.
-
Each of the models was specially sculpted for Space Hulk. The models are split across four frames, three purple frames of Genestealers and one red frame of Space Marine Terminators.
-
The rulebook contains all of the core information you need to play Space Hulk, while the mission book adds context to the game, details objectives and explains how to lay out the floor tiles.
-
Each and every room section is different. Even the ones that look similar have slightly different textures and colours. Click on the image for a closer look.
-
There are over a hundred gaming counters in Space Hulk that are used to represent everything from lurking Genestealers to weapon effects. You even get four bags to keep them all in.
And before I forget we are adding an additional painted Terminator and Genestealer to the product page every day this week so make sure you go and have a look.
