Advance Order High Elves & Mega Paint Set; Warhammer Celebrations
The new High Elves are here, and available to advance order today, which makes today a great day! And not just because I'm a High Elf player (you can check out my fledgling force here), but because it's been a good while since we've had some new units for a Warhammer army. The White Lions, Phoenix Guard and Dragon Princes are the elite of the elite and some of the High Elves most powerful units. The White Lions are a particular favourite of mine - imagine a unit of 30 of them fighting as a horde. With 30 Strength 6 Attacks, which strike first and will likely re-roll misses (due to their obscene Initiative) these fierce woodsmen can chop down a lot more than trees!

This is the first time that the Phoenix Guard have ever been available as a plastic set, which means you've got more modelling and assembly options than ever before. The Phoenix Guard are imposing models, clad in ornate armour. They also make great unit champions for your other High Elf regiments.

Like the Phoenix Guard, this is also the first time that the White Lions have been available in plastic. The set comes with dozens of extras and even includes a piece of decorative masonry that you can use to personalise your bases, make an objective marker or add to a terrain piece.

Your local Hobby Centre should have received a set of White Lions and Dragon Princes by now, and if you pop down you'll be able to take a closer look at all of the frames, and perhaps even stick a few of them together. If you're really lucky, you might even get to help paint them up for the Hobby Centre's cabinet.
You can advance order the new High Elves by clicking on the 'add to cart' buttons below or click on the images for a closer look at the models.
Warhammer Battle Magic: High Elves is also available to advance order from today. Like all of the other Battle Magic decks, it's only available while stocks last, so it's worth ordering early. You'll notice I've also added the High Elf Battalion and The Island of Blood set below - they're both ideal ways to begin a High Elf army or to quickly bulk out an existing force.
And at long last, the Mega Paint Set is back. It sold out so fast last year that many of you emailed us in a last attempt to get a hold of one. This year, the Mega Paint Set is again only available in limited numbers, so if you want one I'd advise ordering early. You'll notice that the Mega Paint Set is sat on its own below. Now normally, I'd suggest a thing or two that might go well with a new product but the Mega Paint Set really is a mega set - it contains every paint, Foundation paint, wash and brush. So yeah, when picking up your Mega Paint Set the only other thing you'll need is some time set aside to paint.
Yesterday I featured some pictures of the celebrations and hilarity from the weekend, when hobbyists from around the globe celebrated the release of The Island of Blood. Since then I've received plenty more pictures that I'll share with your over the next couple of days. For today though, here's a look inside one of our Japanese Hobby Centres.

I wonder if the chap on the right paints and games while stood on one leg, or if it's just his punishment for not wearing a hat.

Apparently this hobbyist couldn't wait to get his High Elves from The Island of Blood. He purchased several sets and is busy assembling a horde of Sea Guard.
