Terrain
Wow! 'The Great Gameboard Giveaway' has gotten off to a phenomenal start - I can't open my emails quick enough, by the time I've looked at one entry three more have arrived. It's been great fun looking at all of the pieces of terrain you guys have made, so please keep them coming. If you've no idea what I'm talking about then check out Monday's post. Yesterday I spent the day with Blake Spence, from the Warhammer World Scenery Team, making the gameboard that the winner will receive. I'll share some pictures of it, and a host of Blake's best hobby tips with you tomorrow.
It's not just you lot that have gotten excited about terrain, Games Workshop staff from around the globe have also sent me some pictures of what they've been working on. Here's a look at few that caught my eye.

Here in the office, John French has just finished his Blood Forest. He began with a Citadel Wood set and gave the trees legs (Blood Forests move after feeding on interlopers) using Chaos Spawn bits. You'll notice he's also added some eyes (also from the Spawn kit) to the tree trunks, you know, just so the forest can see where it's going.

You might remember this terrain piece from last Friday's post. The staff at Games Workshop Gaudi in Barcelona, have now finished their daemon portal and sent me this picture. Once they'd finished paining the piece, the guys added some Jungle Plants to help it fit in with the rest of their terrain collection.

Kevin, the manager of Games Workshop Paris 12, used some pieces from the Arcane Ruins set to make a Sorcerous Portal. The portal itself is made from a piece of thick card, which he painted with Liche Purple and then washed with Baal Red, Thraka Green and Asurmen Blue. He then flicked on some Skull White and sealed with Gloss Varnish.

François from Games Workshop Paris 08, made this Wyrding Well using a set of Arcane Ruins and some pieces from the Daemonettes of Slaanesh kit.
-
Arthur, manager of Games Workshop Mulhouse in France, made this Empire outpost. I particularly like the tree he's added to the courtyard, presumably where they hang any cowards.

Life as a Mekboy is frustrating - just when you've finished your mighty tower and added a suitably large shoota to the top of it, along comes a squiggoth and demolishes it (click on the image to see what I mean). Thanks for the picture Darrel Altmann it made us chuckle.
