Raised within the perilous environment of Catachan, the Catachan Jungle Fighters are tough and independent by necessity. The physically weak or frail cannot survive on Cartachan, one of the Imperium's most infamous death worlds. On Catachan every living creature (plant or animal) is dangerous. Many of the galaxy's most deadly predators dwell beneath the canopy of Catachan's steaming jungles of death.

Though they are best suited to war in similar, vegetation-heavy combat zones, the very attributes that make the Catachans such good survivors on their home world also makes them superb soldiers in any environment - they are ruthlessly efficient, inherently well disciplined and indifferent to hardships that would kill lesser men.

For the established Imperial Guard collector there's probably few things that come more naturally than assembling and painting Catachan Jungle Fighters.
