Shields of the Dark Elves
Dark Elf warriors often decorate their shields and banners with the heraldry of their masters. On this page you can see a showcase of shields, painted by the talented painters here in the Studio. Some of these shield designs are found inside the multi-part plastic Dark Elf Warrior kit, while others are taken from the Dark Elves Bitz Packs or are hand-painted.
On the following page we've included a gallery of full-colour artwork by Neil Hodgson, showing a wonderful variety of different shield designs.

These Dark Elf shields are all taken from the Dark Elf Warriors box set.
As you can see, by painting the shields with different colour schemes, there's an almost infinite variety available. -
Of course you don't have to use the heraldry provided in the box set - there's nothing to stop you painting your own heraldry onto the shields. Many hobbyists find free-hand painting to be a very rewarding part of the hobby, and with a steady hand and some patience you can achieve incredible results.
