Introduction

The Island of Blood is host to a devastating war between the Skaven of Clan Klaw and the island's High Elf guardians. The boxed game is packed with over 70 Citadel miniatures that make a great starting force for both High Elf and Skaven armies.

However, as the 'Getting Started' book perfectly illustrates, you can start playing near enough immediately with just the figures included in the box. All you need do is get the models assembled, have a quick read through the rules and you'll be ready to play Warhammer.

Remember though, that Warhammer is a game of infinite possibilities. There are many different ways to fight battles other than just line them up and fight - although, that's as good a way as any! Scenarios are a great way to add varying elements from force disposition to deployment, and are also useful for instilling a narrative into the battle. Over the next few pages I've done just this and have written three scenarios specifically for the models you get in The Island of Blood boxed game. So, once you have got used to playing with your new miniatures, why not give these scenarios a go...
